You can organize your inspection checklists, checkpoints, and responsible parties into categories.
Instructions
1. Go to: System Admin > System Tables Setup in the menu bar.
2. Click the “+Add” button to create a new category.
Categories allow you to assign a similar checklists or even specific checkpoints to a larger classification group. This helps to group checklists together in the inspection selection process (such as all concrete checklists) as well as align common deficiencies coming in from multiple checklists (such as all concrete deficiencies). Categories are a critical component of a successful Quality Control Program.
The category s assigned in the Setup screens.
Instructions
1. Go to Setup>Customization>Common Checklist Items>Category
2. Click the blue Add button to insert a new Category.
3. In the dialog box, type the Category name in the Title field. This is a required field. If the category has a specific code, type that in the Code field. Select the "Type" as either Quality or Safety.
4. If the details need to be edited later, you can do that by selecting the Category and editing the fields in the panel on the righthand side of the screen.
5. Click "Save" to save the new category.

- Components of the Construction Process, such as Concrete, Framing, HVAC, Mechanical
- Steps in the workflow, such as Administration, Assembly, Installation
- Types of Inspections, such as Manager, 3rd Party, Civil, Equipment
