Inspection Header Collapsed by Default
The next time you access an inspection, you'll notice the blue inspection screen header is collapsed. This reduced header keeps details hidden until the expand caret is clicked. Since that information is rarely edited, the header remains out of view until needed, reducing distractions and discouraging unnecessary edits.
DEV-9007
- Instructions: Start a New Inspection
Camera icon opens camera, hamburger menu update
On the inspection screen checkpoint, the camera icon now directly opens the camera. Additional options have been moved to the adjacent hamburger menu. This design makes it faster and easier to access the camera, which is especially helpful in challenging field environments..
DEV-9818
- Instructions:
Use Cases
- A concrete inspector taps the camera icon, presses the shutter button, and snaps a picture in a matter of seconds
-
A lineman atop a tower taps the camera icon and take a series of photos. Later, when the inspector is on the ground, he can drag and drop to the proper checkpoints
Single Click Dynamic Checkpoint
The dynamic checkpoint option ensures inspectors cannot click the same checkpoint more than once or add rows to a matrix (or fail to add rows to a prefilled matrix). This prevents errors by eliminating unwanted checkpoints or extra matrix rows.
DEV-8599
- Instructions: Create a Dynamic Checkpoint
Use Cases
- A Dynamic Checkpoint to add a photo should only be clicked once. Multiple photograph checkpoints are not needed.
-
A matrix should only have one row for data collection. Multiple rows are not required.
Static, Non-Dynamic Table Option
This update enables a prefilled table to be inserted into an inspection without requiring a dynamic “add row” button. As a result, inspectors avoid adding unnecessary rows to standard matrices.
DEV-8509
- Instructions: Create a Dynamic Table
Use Case:
- A matrix for recording controller measurements always has 8 rows. I can prefill the 8 rows in the checkpoint setup and it appears on the inspection without a dynamic button for adding more rows.
Dynamic checkpoint naming updates
The names of dynamic checkpoints and their child elements have been updated to be more intuitive. This makes setting up dynamic checkpoints easier to understand without requiring any programming changes.
DEV10302
- Instructions:
Restrict access to a checkpoint by User Type
A new checkpoint formula allows you to restrict access to a checkpoint, based on User Type. For example, only a user marked as a "Manager" for User Type can access the Approval checkpoint and click the approved button.
DEV-10085
- Instructions: Restrict Access to a checkpoint by User Type
Use Case:
- Only the QA Manager can access an approval checkpoint
-
Only the safety team can access the safety checkpoints on an inspection checklist
Text wrap notes column on deficiency archive listing grid
The deficiency archive listing grid now displays longer text, wrapping up to four lines when needed. This provides greater visibility and context when reviewing deficiencies.
DEV-9926
Use Case:
-
Manager uses open deficiency dashboard to select deficiencies, then views details in the archive listing grid. With 3 or 4 lines of notes it is not necessary to open the inspection to understand the issue.
Mobile Apps WebView Cache Clearing Feature
On mobile devices (phones or tablets), you can now clear the WebView cache, IndexedDB, and local storage directly within the app—no need to open device settings or reinstall. This makes resolving cached data issues faster and more efficient.
DEV-9738
- Instructions: Mobile Apps Webview Cache Clearing Feature
