Add circle shapes to photos in the browser image editor
On the browser image editor, a circle/ellipse drawing tool has been added. The size and shape of the ellipse is controlled by the user in a manner similar to that of the current box. The color and line width is similar to the current box too. DEV-9236
- Instructions: Taking & Editing Pictures
Use Cases:
- Inspector wants to circle an object in photo.
Open Issue Defaults to the unique RP for the checkpoint category
This feature is a time-saver. When an inspection includes multiple Responsible Parties (such as in a milestone or a final inspection), the checkpoint RP is automatically applied if there is only one RP available in that category. Now the inspector doesn't have to use the dropdown to find and assign the Responsible Party for an open issue, though that option is still available. DEV-8178
- Instructions: Create an Open Item on an Inspection
Use Cases:
- The Project has only one subcontractor, "ElecCo," in the Electrical category. A superintendent is performing a final QA inspection and creates an electrical deficiency. ElecCo is automatically selected as the checkpoint RP.
XML report data file download on report history screen
A user with Super Admin access can now activate the "XML report data download" feature for a group.
When the XML feature is active an XML file can be downloaded on the report history screen by clicking on the Download button, then picking the XML option. The XML file has all the data necessary to run the report using the RDL file that produced the PDF output. DEV-8985
- Instructions: Run XML Report Data File
Use Cases
- An account has a client that requires a specially formatted inspection report. The user runs the report using the Online Report Runner, downloads the XML data, connects PowerBI to the file and runs a variation of the report.
- A WRR report mail is received by the user with a link to the XML file. The user automates downloading the file through the hyperlink and stores the file locally. In a second step the user can use Power BI to run a custom report using the XML file data.
Restricted Users can copy an inspection
On the inspection screen, restricted users with create inspection permissions have the ability to copy the inspection. DEV-9195
Use Cases
- A restricted user performing a daily inspection copies yesterday’s report to start today’s inspection.

- Gives the option of continuing an existing inspection.
- Lists open deficiencies assigned to the user.
- Lists recent inspection messages with the ability to go to the checkpoint and respond.
- List recent emails and notifications sent to the user by FTQ360.
- Lists a recent history of FTQ360 actions taken by the user with the ability to continue.
Each feature can be turned on/off so that your Home Screen is customized to what you want to see. DEV-8982
- Instructions: Personal Home Page

Project Active/Inactive button has added text
When you go to System Admin>Project Setup, you'll notice added text to the blue Active/Inactive button. This statement is to help clarify that by making a project inactive, you are not changing or removing access to that project's past inspection. Deactivating a project simply removes it from the Start a New Inspection screen. DEV-9095

Project>Phase Filter for Setup & Run Print Outs Improved
The filters for selecting Project>Phase in the setup screen and Run Print Outs screen are now more intuitive with improved labels, an expand all button (for searches), and a simpler save action. This allows you to 1) to search for phases across all projects without having to open each project, and 2) easily see what selections have been made. Dev-9038
- Instructions: Project Setup
- Instructions: Run a Print-Out (Report)
Use Cases
- Commissioning Customer needs to print 401 for a specific pole (phases) and doesn’t know which project the phase is in. The search for the print out filters goes through all projects and finds the phase.
- Solar company needs to edit a specific panel (phase) but doesn’t have the project info, only the panel info.
Add notes field to User setup
A notes field has been added to each user in the User Setup Screen. This allows the admin to add special notes about the user, such as a special phone number, detailed title or service area, etc. The notes field is located on the Details Panel, and can be added to the user listing grid. These notes are only visible on the User Setup screen and not appear or print anywhere else. To access, go to System Admin>User Setup. DEV-9273

- You want to clarify the role/title of the user.
User Setup Permissions Terms Improved
The terms in the "Permissions & Roles" section of User Setup have been updated to match the corresponding terms throughout the system. This should make each permission clearer. DEV-9302
- Instructions: Edit User Permissions
April 2024
The FTQ360 Menu Simplified
The menu structure has been reorganized to make actions easier to find. It is the same menu options, but listed under the appropriate header. This update will be published later this week.
Home Icon takes you back to the Home Screen
A Home logo has been added to the upper left corner of the screen so you can always easily and quickly get back to your home screen. This logo appears on all screens making the home screen accessible no matter where you are in the software. (DEV-9014)
Report changed to Print Outs
The term "Reports" has changed to "Print Outs" to avoid confusion with the widely used "inspection reports." The Print Outs drop-down menu provides access to performance and data PDF reports, including the Run Reports screen and Recent Reports screen. "Print Outs" is a customized term, and can be changed back to "Reports" in your account, if necessary. (DEV-8981)
Caret (arrow) opens Recent Inspections
Click the caret at the beginning of a row to view recent inspections filtered for that project, phase, and/or checklist. If the project doesn't have any associated inspections yet, no caret will be visible. ( DEV-8978)
Breadcrumbs on Inspection Selection Screens
The new breadcrumb feature shows you the selections you’ve made so far in the inspection selection process. This allows you to confirm the project, phase, location and correct any mistakes before starting the inspection. (DEV-8979)
New List Planned ITP Inspections Screen
The new "List Planned ITP Inspections" screen is similar to the Inspection Archive and the Deficiency Archive grids. It allows you to use the keyword fields in the column headers to filter ITP data, as well as clearly see the percentage done each inspection in the plan. The columns can be arranged and turned-on and off by clicking the settings wheel, as well as download the filtered list into an Excel spreadsheet.
You can access this new List Planned ITP Inspections screen by going to Project ITP>List Planned ITP Inspections. (DEV-8977)
User Preferences Screen Updated
The User Preference screen has been updated to look more similar to similar entry screens. On the User Preference Screen, you can change your password, update basic information such as your name and email address, and link multiple FTQ360 accounts. The User Preference Screen is available by clicking the person icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen, then clicking "User Preferences." (DEV-8787)

Inspection Screen Updates
Inspect by QR Code
In text entry fields on the inspection screen, when the cursor in in a text entry box, when there is a long press, a selection option will appear and when you select QR, the camera opens. The camera will detect a bar or QR code in view, read the code, close the camera, and insert the text in the text field at the original position of the cursor (if some text was already in the field), and place the cursor at the end of the inserted. (DEV-7175)
Use Cases:
- A project manager inspecting solar panels scan the QR code on the module and the ITP items for the serial number are preloaded.
- A Quality Manager inspecting a factory-built housing module with a QR code on the frame to load the specific work station and go to the inspection screen
Directions:
Correspond through Messages on the Inspection Screen
The Messaging feature streamlines field communications. With it, you have the ability to involve any number of people in back and forth questions, discussions surrounding resolutions of an issue, and just plain ole FYIs. Briefly, it works like this: You can add a Message to any checkpoint and address (or mention) another FTQ360 user. In less than 5 minutes they will automatically get an email with your message and a link back to the inspection so they can reply back and add their response. You are notified of their reply in the same fashion. Messages are intended as informal communications, therefore they are NOT included in the inspection report Pdf print-outs. (DEV-8677)
Use Cases:
- Message a manager to look over the notes in a checkpoint and photos for checkpoint, and the manager responds in the inspection.
- Message a subcontractor about a question regarding their work and the subcontractor responds in the inspection.
Directions:
Inspection Activity Log
The inspection screen has an activity log that records actions, including user names, times, and activity details (checkpoint IDs, recipient emails, etc.). Redundant records are combined (as long as they happen within 30 seconds of each other) so related activity is not shown in a detailed fashion. Examples of records combined by the algorithm: entering text to checkpoint notes or corrective actions, sequentially changing the status of the same checkpoint, creating many dynamic checkpoints with the same “parent” checkpoint (i.e: the same UI button).
The Activity Log is located at the bottom of the inspection screen above the email, print PDF, and copy buttons. (DEV-8865)
Instructions:
Dashboard Updates
"Details" Button added to all Dashboards
The deficiency details button has been added to the Priority Open Deficiency and the Aging Open Deficiency dashboards. This opens the All Deficiency List (Archive) grid with the info filtered from the dashboards. (DEV-8365)
Directions:
Project Phase Panel Added to Most Dashboards
The phase panel has been added to most dashboards so that the dashboard data can be filtered by the phase information. (DEV-8405)

- A GC or Multi-Family Builder wants to see an FTQ360 score by floor/phase to ensure quality measures put in place are working as construction progresses
New "Last 3 months" Date Range Option Added to Dashboards
"Last 3 Months" has been added as a time period selection on Key Metric, Inspection Activity and %FTQ dashboards. This allows you to view the dashboard data for the previous quarter. (DEV-8534)
Use Case:
- Customer needs to view January-February-March data on a dashboard.
Responsive dashboard bar panels
I want: to view more data on dashboard bars panels by placing labels to the left of the bar and shortening the bars as necessary (responsive?, manage panels?) So That: Larger screens commonly used as the primary dashboard viewing device can can view more information at a time without scrolling and I can take a screenshot showing a much more complete picture. Also, FTQ dashboards are sparse as compared to common practice for visuals. (DEV-8627)
.
Report & Data Query Updates
New 401ax options can be run by Sequence and Location
You can run the FTQ-401ax report by "Project/Location/Phase/Inspection date order" and by "Project/Phase/ITP Sequence/ Inspection date order." (DEV-8436, DEV-8898)
