A new checklist setup screen has a totally new and easy-to-use design. Using it is optional, and you can switch back and forth to the legacy checklist setup screen. The new screen is being rolled out in waves over the next few months. Contact FTQ360 support if you’d like to activate the new checklist screen on your account now. Here is a video overview explaining how to use the new checklist setup screen.
Have you wanted FTQ360 to let you know when something special happens? Or report something automatically, as needed? Or need a custom workflow based on FTQ360 events? Now there is the ability to do this and more automatically in FTQ360. For example when an inspection checkpoint is ready for review, the inspector can be emailed a notification. Or a manager is notified when an open item will delay the project more than two days. The first step is a trigger based on any criterial using a custom query of FTQ360 data. Once triggered, the second step creates the email by dynamically inserting selected data into pre-defined format. The step has logic for selecting addresses for the email. Each step can be customized on any criterial that can be imagined for querying data collected by FTQ360. This is a custom feature included with accounts with Enhanced Plus support. Please contact FTQ360 customer support for details.
When adding new phases to a project, inspectors inherit permissions they have on other phases. FTQ360 will automatically give inspection permissions to users if they already have inspection permissions on all other project phases. This applies to phases added online or by file import. This simplifies managing inspector project access by allowing project inspectors to inspect on a newly added phase. As always you can give (or remove) inspection permissions on individual phases as you wish.
Using the if-then logic to insert specific checkpoints is a popular feature, so we added several criterial that makes it more useful than ever! For example, your criterial can be based on “Includes” and “Starts with” to look for specific words in other checkpoints, and “Is empty” can set a reminder on the basis of data not entered yet. Power accounts can switch to formula mode and use the logic rules in complex logic formulas. The possibilities are endless.
Now when multiple users are working on the same inspection, both users will know when the other makes a change. When changes occur, the familiar “refresh from server" icon in the footer will appear in orange. This allows you to refresh your inspection with the new information. Your current entries on the inspection screen are protected by first saving them to the server, then clicking the refresh icon to load the new data from the server. Your updates do not not overwrite entries made by other inspectors on other checkpoints. With this feature inspection teams can work on the same inspection report on different devices at the same time. Also managers can review and update inspection reports as inspectors continue their work.
If you have long-running projects with numerous inspections, you can simply request a complete set project reports, photos, documents and files to be copied onto a cloud drive repository. This is very useful for closing out large projects or providing a commissioning package that may have many gigabytes of data - just too much to run online. The closeout package includes every inspection report, and also every file attached to the inspection report including photos, videos, PDF’s and other files. This makes project closeout as easy as possible. This feature is available to Power and Enhanced Plus accounts only. Contact FTQ360 support for more information.
Sometimes project drawing documents are huge. Now the file size maximum has been increased to 250Mb. Once you upload file in the Project Setup Screen, it is immediately available to view as a reference on the inspection screen.
Now all emails sent by FTQ360 are also sent to this BCC address. If anyone does not receive an expected email, you (as the bcc) can verify and forward as necessary. This includes emails sent from the inspection screen, online reports run manually, automated reports sent on a schedule, invoices, user invites, and password reset requests. Consider dedicating an email address to receive BCC emails so they do not overwhelm your personal inbox.
Print PDF from the inspection screen
On the inspection screen, the PDF report will downloaded normally. In addition the requested reports are listed on the report history screen showing their processing status. This gives you the ability to navigate away from the inspection screen and download your report at your convenience from the report history screen.
